Inside Sales/Warehouse Support
About The Position
As a Branch Inside Sales Support Representative/Warehouseperson, you will be an essential part of the Gentek team, ensuring customers receive the products and/or information they need. This role involves becoming a product knowledge expert to support customers, handling shipping and receiving duties, providing excellent customer service, and processing orders accurately. The position emphasizes the 'ACT' philosophy: Acknowledge customers, Create great business partnerships, and Thank customers. You will be responsible for picking and preparing orders, assisting with truck loading/unloading, serving customers in person and over the phone, answering inquiries, entering orders into the system, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Completed High School certificate a must.
- Able to read and write word and letter/number sequences.
- Must be computer proficient.
- High compliance with standards, requirements, and processes.
- Emotional intelligence that facilitates respectful and courteous interactions with customers and other Gentek employees.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary education an asset.
- Experience in the building industry (e.g., hardware store, pro-desk) is valuable, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Pick orders and prepare them in staging areas for delivery.
- Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
- Pick orders for immediate pick-up.
- Ensure accuracy of order against paperwork.
- Move incoming product to the designated location in the branch.
- Greet customers as they enter the distribution branch/warehouse, or as they call.
- Serve them immediately or indicate that they will be helped as quickly as we can manage.
- Answer customer inquiries about the materials and services Gentek provides.
- Make it easy for customers to do business with us. You are their business partner.
- Enter and process customer orders through Gentek’s order system.
- Provide accurate and helpful information about products, availability, and delivery status.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to customers and orders.
