About The Position

American Welding & Gas has an immediate opening for an Experienced Industrial Inside Sales Person at our Jasper, TX location. This is a full-time position where you will prepare quotes for customers, assist Territory Managers with accounts receivable, handle customer calls for new or emergency orders, and actively work to increase sales volume and frequency with house accounts. You will also collaborate with the Sales VP to establish benchmarks, track opportunities in CRM, and work towards sales and margin goals, product training, and professional development. Utilizing company designated CRM platforms for planning and scheduling is essential, as is maintaining a positive attitude and meeting management-set goals.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous sales experience
  • Strong time and management skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Needs a strong industrial background

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of welding and gas products strongly preferred.
  • Industrial sales experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotes for customers.
  • Assist Territory Managers to actively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to help minimize working capital investment and financial risk.
  • Intake calls from customers for new orders or assist in resolving emergency orders.
  • Call on "house" accounts with annual sales below $10,000 to increase sales volume and frequency.
  • Grow the sales with those customers through telemarketing of other products.
  • In collaboration with the Sales VP, establish benchmarks to determine frequency and objectives of customer calls, tracking and updating opportunities in CM, growth expectations and goals related to sales and margins, product training and development, and professional development goals.
  • Utilize Outlook, Call Proof, or other company designated CRM platforms for planning, scheduling, and professional time management.
  • Maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude with all associates, customers, vendors, and other business partners.
  • Meet goals and objectives set by and with management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
