The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for monitoring the order in-box, processing orders, and handling inbound calls from distribution and end-users. This role requires responding to customers in a timely manner via email and phone regarding backorders, tracking information, stock checks, and other inquiries related to purchase orders. The specialist will also manage backorders to ensure customer expectations are met, log calls in Maximizer (transitioning to Salesforce in 2025), and contact transport companies for shipment updates. Additionally, they will send claims to the credit department for RMA and Call Tag processing, process and assign uninstalled claims through CRM, and ensure proper phone coverage by monitoring phone status in Cisco Finesse. The role involves requesting German AIR order quotes and processing Air Freight Orders, considering customer exceptions during order processing, and verifying updated process information in the Knowledge Base. The specialist will monitor EDI orders, release them to the warehouse, and communicate with the warehouse for order updates or modifications before picking and packing. They must ensure INFOR order status is 50 at the end of each day, add project names to INFOR when noted on purchase orders, attend weekly alignment meetings, and stay trained on new platforms introduced by Schluter.
