About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support a high-volume, fast-paced environment at our corporate headquarters in Wheeling, IL. In this role, you’ll serve as a critical link between customers, operations, and the sales team—ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to service excellence.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in: Inside sales, sales support, or customer service in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong product knowledge experience in a previous role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with order entry and quoting systems
  • Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, accuracy in pricing/order calculations)

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer accounts to drive high satisfaction, increased sales, and strong gross margins
  • Handle day-to-day customer needs including: Quoting and pricing, Order entry and tracking, Delivery updates and follow-up
  • Resolve customer issues by processing credits, debits, and returns (RMA)
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer requirements
  • Monitor and maintain pricing and inventory agreements
  • Provide ongoing support to the outside sales team
  • Accurately document transactions and maintain records to ensure service continuity
  • Review contracts and orders for completeness and accuracy prior to processing
  • Manage complex shipping and routing requirements, including freight terms and carrier selection
  • Participate in a weekly rotation: Phone Support: 45 inbound calls/day (70% of shift when assigned), Email Management: 200+ daily customer emails
  • Create and process custom orders between customer interactions
