About The Position

Packaging Services Industries, Inc. (PSI) is seeking a Sales Support Specialist for its Williamsport, MD facility. PSI, established in 1976, is a family of privately owned businesses with three plants in the Mid-Atlantic region, employing over 350 people. The company's philosophy centers on tailoring products to customer needs and providing exemplary customer service with a product guarantee. This role requires significant interaction with customers and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of orders from reception through shipping. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Customer Service and/or Sales Support within a manufacturing setting, be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be committed to meeting customer packaging needs while growing with the company.

Requirements

2-3+ years of professional customer service and/or sales support background (manufacturing experience preferred).
Intermediate knowledge and experience with order fulfillment systems.
Intermediate experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
Ability to calculate and understand formulas, commissions, measurements, and percentages.
Solid ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.
Professional phone etiquette.
Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience providing remote support to multiple locations is helpful.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with external customers.
Communicate with external customers via email and phone with a high standard of professionalism.
Assist customers with order changes and provide status updates.
Enter customer-specific orders into the order fulfillment system.
Build customer-specific manufacturing specifications for finished goods production.
Run inventory reports for customers.
Manage and maintain customer accounts and inventory levels.
Interact effectively with the production team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Support and assist the sales team with customer relations.
Run usage reports for the sales team, send specifications, and provide support for sales team inquiries.
