We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Wheeling, IL. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in managing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring a seamless order lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing sales support or customer service
  • Strong understanding of order entry and product knowledge management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience working with ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer accounts to increase customer satisfaction, sales, and gross margin
  • Process quotes, orders, and follow-ups, providing accurate delivery timelines and updates
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues, including credits, debits, and returns
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to communicate customer requirements
  • Monitor and manage pricing agreements and inventory levels
  • Support outside sales teams with account coordination and order management
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure continuity and informed decision-making
  • Identify and escalate issues to management in a timely manner
  • Manage 50–75 complex orders with multiple line items
  • Work with both domestic and international clients on the Power Transmission Team
  • Rotate phone support weeks: 70% of the day handling inbound calls (avg. 45 calls/day)
  • Remaining time dedicated to order processing, follow-ups, and research
  • Utilize a headset-based phone system with availability controls for workflow balance
