The Inside Sales Representative makes outbound calls regarding service invoices and leads that were not sold in the field, taking necessary actions to achieve department sales goals. The role is expected to perform according to the company’s core values and focus on earning the right to be recommended. It includes achieving inside sales metrics, adjusting Project Manager pricing to accommodate installation schedule needs, and creating and following the inside sales process. The representative builds customer rapport, develops client relationships, negotiates and closes deals, and converts lost opportunities from technicians’ invoices and sales representatives’ proposals into sales. Follow-up opportunities include customers still receiving service or sales visits in their homes, pending conversions, quoted work not performed, and cancelled business. The representative is also expected to build enthusiasm for the company, understand the local market and customer needs, and contribute to sales plans and proposed expansions. Regular, predictable onsite attendance is expected. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work is indoors in a typically moderately noisy environment and may involve stress and interactions with aggressive personalities in a highly competitive industry. The typical schedule consists of eight- to ten-hour workdays, five days per week, with some weekend work and early or late weekday meetings as needed.
