About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our dynamic team in Toronto. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial sales environment, working directly with our experienced sales professionals and learning the intricacies of the cable industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in developing a strong foundation in inside sales and order management.

Requirements

  • Good to proficient knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous approach to data entry and order processing, ensuring accuracy and minimizing errors.
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries with patience and professionalism, even in challenging situations.
  • A strong desire to learn about our products, the sales process, and the SAP system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and learn new tasks quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in quotes preparation and management of the quotation log, an important market intel input.
  • Accurately and efficiently enter customer orders into our SAP system, ensuring all details are correct and processed promptly.
  • Proactively monitor expected backlog delivery and work closely with other departments, such as logistics and production, to ensure seamless and timely order fulfillment.
  • Assist the team in analyzing customer demand patterns and contributing to accurate forecasting.
  • Review sales data and key metric to help the team addressing pricing decisions.
  • Co-ordinate with the Sales team and the Product Management team to help prepare major project quotes.
  • Provide day to day management of the B2B platform.
  • Assist in the creation of a sales-related documentation repository.
