About The Position

The Family Service Advisor works at Calvary Cemetery for Diocese of Youngstown Catholic Cemeteries, helping families navigate cemetery arrangements and funeral options in a Catholic setting. The role centers on consultative, relationship-driven conversations and guiding families through the Order of Christian Funerals and available options, with compassionate accompaniment taking priority over selling. The advisor works autonomously while supported by a team and is involved throughout families’ experiences, including arrangement meetings, committals, and parish outreach. The role is described as dynamic and fast-paced, with no two family experiences alike. The organization is founded on Catholic values and describes the position as service to families and a form of missionary discipleship. Compensation includes base compensation and uncapped commission, with additional bonus opportunities. Requirements

2–4 years working in a sales environment with face-to-face customer contact.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with compassionate care in person and over the telephone.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent time management skills.
Proficiency with computers, software, and technology.
Interest in working in a Catholic environment; applicants from all backgrounds are welcome.
Complete FBI/BCI fingerprint screening, Diocese of Youngstown Safe Environment Training (VIRTUS certificate), and the Diocese of Youngstown Employment Application at the time of formal offer.
