About The Position

An Inside Sales Engineer is a customer-facing role supporting contractors and internal teams through product recommendations, quote preparation, order processing, and customer service from initial inquiry through fulfillment. The role combines customer service, technical product knowledge, and sales support.

DMG North is a growing building commissioning company focused on optimizing complex building systems. Its consulting group provides commissioning services for new and existing buildings, while its technical services group provides start-up services for complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC applications, technical sales, or sales support.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial/industrial applications.
• Familiarity with HVAC design principles, building specifications, and relevant standards such as ASHRAE and AHRI.
• Proficiency with HVAC selection/software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop effective, customer-focused solutions.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in HVAC manufacturing or working with sales/distribution channels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and walk-ins.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, bids, and order confirmations.
• Process sales orders accurately and efficiently in the ERP system.
• Support internal sales teams with pricing, product availability, and documentation.
• Assist customers with equipment selection, parts identification, and basic technical questions.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and order records.
