About The Position

This position is for an Inpatient RN in the Surgical/Operating Room, specifically focusing on Pre-operative, Post-operative, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) services. The role operates on a 100% FTE schedule, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts and variable start times. The department hours are from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm or until the last patient is discharged. The work location is UW Health Swedish American Hospital at 1401 E State St.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
Provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting or Psychiatric Nursing setting (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.
Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.

Nice To Haves

Community nursing experience (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
Specialty certification in area of concentration.
ACLS certification within two years of hire (for 9th Floor Only).

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in the Pre-operative, Post-operative, and PACU settings.
