About The Position

Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient sites across Michigan, with primary care and specialty practices offering opportunities to learn, explore different interests, or specialize. The RN provides professional nursing care within the ANA scope of practice, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge while incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles. The RN provides quality care under the direction of the Nurse Leader and in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures. The role recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on outcomes, incorporates patient and family input and goals into care planning, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning in the health record.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke.
• At least 2 years of acute care RN experience.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least 1 year of acute care experience or at least 2 years of experience in a licensed health care role, and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Procedural nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
