About The Position
This position is for an Inpatient Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical unit at UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. The role is 90% FTE and involves day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Additional compensation may be available for evening, night, and weekend shifts, as well as overtime and on-call pay.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
- Provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
- Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
- Bi-annual CPR certification.
- 2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting or Psychiatric Nursing setting (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
Nice To Haves
- Community nursing experience (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
- Specialty certification in area of concentration.
- ACLS certification within two years of hire (for 9th Floor Only).
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a Medical Surgical unit.
- Work day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
- Potentially work evening, night, and weekend shifts with differential pay.
- Participate in overtime and on-call duties as required.
