About The Position

This role provides distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist prior to receiving certification. Responsibilities include refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders, maintaining inventory for the pharmacy department, preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds, repackaging bulk medications, and receiving and storing incoming supplies. The Inpatient Pharmacy Tech also serves as a liaison between the pharmacy, patient, and health professionals by providing necessary information.

Requirements

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must provide proof of application to register with the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board and once registration is granted, must be maintained.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Must be WI State Licensed.
Must be PTCB certified.
Must have Pharmacy Hospital Experience, and Non Hazardous and Hazardous IV room Experience.

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred.
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
