About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 2 works under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and follows standard procedures to prepare medication orders and assist with dispensing and transporting medications. The position conducts sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, uses automated and electronic systems, and maintains required documentation and records.

The role is part of an inpatient pharmacy team in a fast-paced clinical environment, with exposure to sterile and non-sterile compounding and opportunities to support the infusion team. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Less than 2 years of experience.
• State Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Pharmacy technician certification.

Nice To Haves

• 2–5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality assurance standards and required documentation, and maintain regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assist in preparing medication orders, including workflow management, basic preparation and dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Use automated and electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Support inventory activities, including storage, ordering, rotation, beyond-use dating, and cleanliness.
• Pursue proficiency in sterile compounding and/or other advanced skills.
• Assist with dispensing and transporting medications.
