About The Position
Sinai Health System provides outpatient and inpatient services, along with community-based health, research, and social service programs. The Renal Hemodialysis Technician works in Mount Sinai Hospital’s hospital-based hemodialysis unit. The technician calibrates, monitors, and maintains hemodialysis machines and dialysis equipment used to provide treatment for patients with kidney failure.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, plus relevant training acquired through work experience or education.
- Certification as a dialysis technician through NNCC (Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission) or BONENT (Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology).
- Active BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate hemodialysis machines and dialysis equipment.
- Monitor hemodialysis machines and dialysis equipment.
- Maintain hemodialysis machines and dialysis equipment used to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure.
