About The Position

The Innovation & Technology Software Engineering: Platform & Applications Internship is a 10.5-week, full-time internship running from May 24, 2027, through August 4, 2027. It is a hybrid position with three days generally spent in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) in Hartford, Connecticut; Dallas, Texas; Scottsdale, Arizona; or Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The remaining two days each week may be worked remotely from home, the office, or another location of the intern’s choice. Relocation assistance is available to candidates who need to move more than 50 miles. Interns help design, build, test, and deploy software solutions that support customer, member, provider, and colleague experiences. Work spans applications, APIs, cloud platforms, integrations, automation, and modern engineering practices. The internship offers opportunities to develop application features, build APIs and microservices, automate testing and deployment pipelines, deploy applications to cloud environments, and improve application performance and reliability. The program includes business projects, community service activities, professional development workshops, mentorship and networking opportunities, and interaction with senior leaders. Innovation & Technology interns also participate in a Leadership Insight Series, an Intern Innovation Challenge, and learning experiences covering topics such as presentations and storytelling, emerging technology, and AI tools. The role pays $35.00–$38.50 per hour for 40 hours per week. Interns do not work on the July 4 company holiday and receive two days of paid leave. Pay depends on office location and team assignment. The internship may provide an increased likelihood of receiving an offer for a future CVS Health role. Work visa sponsorship is not available, including for CPT, OPT, or F-1 Visa programs.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
Expected graduation date between September 2027 and August 2028.
Major, minor, or concentration relevant to the position, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence.
