About The Position

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for an Innovation Program Manager in our Store Support Center (099). This role is designed to spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive catering program at The Fresh Market. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both the grocery and catering industries, with a proven track record of creating successful catering services from the ground up. This role will involve establishing and managing a strategic partnership with EZ Catering, overseeing the partnership from initial testing to full implementation. In addition, will help manage other innovation projects as time allows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in catering management or a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in catering management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in managing strategic partnerships or vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Design and launch a new catering program, including menu creation, pricing strategies, and service protocols.
  • Establish relationships with local vendors and suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients and supplies at competitive prices.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of catering staff, including chefs, servers, and event coordinators.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily operations of the catering program, including food preparation, delivery logistics, and event setup and breakdown.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the catering program through various channels, including social media, in-store promotions, and community events.
  • Create and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure the financial viability of the catering program.
  • Ensure all catering operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collect customer feedback and use it to continuously improve the catering services offered.
  • Establish and manage a partnership with EZ Catering, overseeing all aspects from testing to full implementation.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and drive program while taking on additional Innovation projects to help the brand meet financial goals.
