The Environmental Innovation Program Manager provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and technical direction for department-wide innovation and modernization initiatives within the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Located within the Administration and Innovation Division, this role advances mission-driven priorities by improving business processes, modernizing data systems, and enhancing public-facing services. The position oversees key programs including business intelligence, enterprise technology initiatives, IT governance, web and digital services, and quality management. The role also supervises professional and technical staff, setting priorities, supporting performance and development, and fostering a cohesive, service-oriented team environment. Working collaboratively across DEC divisions, with state and federal partners, and alongside Agency of Digital Services professionals, the incumbent ensures efficient, compliant, and forward-looking program delivery.
