About The Position

The Innovation Marketing Manager supports the development and execution of Marketing strategies for new product innovations across the Wonderbrands portfolio. This role is responsible for transforming innovation concepts into successful market launches by defining the optimal brand strategy, positioning, target consumer, customer value proposition, and go-to-market approach. In partnership with the Insights team, this individual will lead research to identify consumer needs, emerging trends, and whitespace opportunities that inform Wonderbrands' innovation pipeline and long-term growth strategy. Working closely with Innovation, Brand Marketing, Sales, Category Management, R&D, and Operations, they will translate insights into commercially viable opportunities and support the successful launch of new products that drive sustainable business growth. A key focus of the role is partnering with the Sales organization to develop customer-facing innovation strategies, support customer sell-in, and maximize distribution opportunities for new product launches.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Brand Marketing, Innovation, Marketing, Product Management, Category Management, or related Consumer Packaged Goods roles.
  • Proven experience successfully launching new products and driving Marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, portfolio management, consumer marketing, and Marketing.
  • Experience working closely with Sales organizations and supporting customer-facing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling customer value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and business case development skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Marketing strategy for new product innovations across Wonderbrands' portfolio.
  • Evaluate innovation concepts and determine the optimal route to market.
  • Develop recommendations regarding brand architecture, including whether products should be launched under existing brands, new platforms, licensed brands, or sub-brands.
  • Define target consumers, positioning, key benefits, and value propositions.
  • Develop innovation business cases and Marketing recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Ensure Marketing strategies align with Wonderbrands' portfolio, brand, and growth objectives.
  • Translate innovation concepts into commercially viable go-to market plans in partnership with sales that drive customer adoption, distribution, trial, and long-term growth.
  • Define launch objectives, Marketing milestones, and success metrics.
  • Partner with Brand Teams to ensure innovation initiatives support broader brand strategies.
  • Lead development of launch plans including sell in decks, packaging, claims, pricing recommendations, consumer messaging, and merchandising support.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure successful launch execution.
  • Ensure all Marketing activities are aligned with customer, consumer, and business priorities.
  • Serve as the primary Marketing partner to the Sales organization for innovation launches.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Category Management teams to identify customer opportunities and channel strategies.
  • Develop compelling customer selling stories, innovation presentations, and Marketing materials.
  • Support customer meetings and innovation sell-in initiatives as required.
  • Partner with Sales teams to maximize customer acceptance, distribution gains, and launch success.
  • Incorporate customer and retailer feedback into Marketing plans and recommendations.
  • Work closely with Innovation and R&D teams throughout the product development and Marketing process.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Regulatory teams to ensure launch readiness.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver Marketing initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and proactively remove barriers to execution.
  • Ensure projects remain focused on delivering both consumer value and commercial success.
  • Monitor consumer trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and category developments.
  • Leverage insights to strengthen Marketing strategies and launch effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve innovation performance and future launch success.
  • Support post-launch evaluations and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Track innovation launch performance against established objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including distribution, velocity, revenue, profitability, household penetration, and customer adoption.
  • Develop regular business updates and Marketing reviews for senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate growth and optimize innovation performance.
