About The Position

Perform a wide variety of assigned tasks related to preparing or building vehicle parts, subsystems, and components. Install subsystems, parts, and components into vehicles on a moving assembly line and perform inspections to ensure quality. Operators must be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. The position is onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided. Former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, and squat.
Ability to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and reach overhead continuously.
Ability to use air, power, and vibrating tools and perform strong pincher gripping.
Ability to work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.
Ability to perform repetitive use of the upper extremities.
May need to perform these functions for up to 12 hours per day.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

Safely use and operate tools, including power tools, hoists, and production equipment.
Maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift while meeting applicable quality standards.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Accurately complete paperwork required for production records.
Read, understand, and follow established processes and instructions.
Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
Participate in continuous improvement.
Perform duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
Work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules.
Prepare or build vehicle parts, subsystems, and components; install them into vehicles on a moving assembly line; and perform inspections.
