About The Position
The Injection Mold Press Operator operates molding presses to produce quality plastic components. The role focuses on safe machine operation, proper part handling, basic inspections, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Operators follow established work instructions and support overall production flow. The position is part of Hach Operations/Plant Management at the Loveland, Colorado plant and is performed onsite. The role reports to the Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation and quality processes.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, labels, and inspection criteria.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable attendance and adherence to shift schedules.
Responsibilities
- Operate injection molding presses according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Remove molded parts from machines, perform basic trimming, and ensure parts meet visual and dimensional quality requirements.
- Monitor machines for alarms, defects, or irregular conditions and promptly report issues to the Lead Operator or Technician.
- Package, label, and stage parts according to job-specific work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including adherence to 5S expectations.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and follow safety, quality, and production policies.
