About The Position

EXP is seeking an intermediate civil engineer for its Road Engineering and Transportation team. This role offers the opportunity to participate in major multidisciplinary projects, some of which will shape the future of Quebec. The position involves working on projects across Quebec and North America using advanced IT tools. The primary responsibility is to be involved in all stages of design, mainly in road engineering (roads and highways), particularly for projects with the Quebec Ministry of Transportation and the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Corporation. Depending on interests and skills, there may also be opportunities to manage site supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) working on projects for the Quebec Ministry of Transportation
  • Knowledge of road design software
  • Knowledge of specialized software related to hydrological and hydraulic calculations
  • Hold "ASP Construction" and STC-SUP-1 (STC-102) "Supervision and monitoring of road construction site signaling" cards
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject, and Outlook)
  • Good command of written and spoken French

Responsibilities

  • Establish road geometry designs

  • Perform drainage analyses
  • Develop signage and signaling concepts (including overhead signage)
  • Conduct pre-project studies in road engineering
  • Perform detailed engineering of road structures
  • Prepare plans and specifications

  • Provide technical assistance during construction
  • Occasionally manage road construction sites
  • Coordinate different disciplines
