About The Position

EXP is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its dynamic team in Drummondville or Victoriaville. Reporting to the Director of Environment, Soils, and Materials, you will work closely with the Provincial Director of Geotechnics and be responsible for business development and geotechnical projects for the Bois-Francs and Centre-du-Québec region. Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Have conventional geotechnical skills.
  • Have knowledge of soil identification.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Have excellent command of French, both oral and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Hold a Master's degree in Geotechnics.
  • Have basic knowledge in the environmental field.
  • Possess an ASP construction card.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a geotechnical project manager for the Bois-Francs and Centre-du-Québec sectors.
  • Collaborate with professionals in geotechnical and environmental studies.
  • Collaborate with geotechnical professionals working in EXP's Quebec offices.
  • Write service offers.
  • Plan and execute geotechnical studies, including drilling, soil and rock sampling, installation of wells and piezometers, in-situ testing, etc.
  • Write study and expertise reports, including supervision of laboratory testing programs.
  • Perform all other related tasks.
