About The Position

We are looking for an Engineer in Transport Surveillance, road lighting, traffic lights, and electrical engineering to join our team. EXP has extensive experience in Transport project surveillance, leveraging our expertise for clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3 years or more of experience in surveillance in the field of road lighting, traffic lights, and electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of technical standards and regulations for public lighting, traffic lights, and road signage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possession of a construction site safety course (ASP).
  • Hold a Class 5 driver's license and have access to a car.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required for regular communication with internal and external partners in Canada, the United States, and international projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialization in road lighting or transport systems.
  • Interest or experience in surveillance of road lighting, traffic lights, and luminous signaling projects, ideally in an urban environment.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and lighting simulation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site surveillance for transport infrastructure (electrical engineering aspect) according to client requirements, plans, and specifications to ensure work meets project objectives safely.
  • Specifically, monitor the installation of lighting fixtures, lighting equipment, traffic lights (including commissioning), signage, and traffic control devices.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and ensure regulatory compliance of projects.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative controls of work and its implementation.
  • Measure executed works, compile quantities, and prepare documents for payment requests, as well as write daily reports.
  • Coordinate work surveillance with our teams.
  • Assist the discipline lead in managing changes, preparing amendments, and documenting work through memos.
  • Write notices.
  • Occasionally assist in preparing project plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • All other duties related to the job.
