About The Position

The Industrial Engineer will drive operational efficiency, manufacturing risk reduction and continuous improvement across Bauer Hockey, PROSHARP and Cascade Maverik Lacrosse Global Operations across internal manufacturing facilities and third-party manufacturing partners. This role reports to the Director, Global Quality and will lead manufacturing risk analysis, coach manufacturing teams and champion AI-powered tools to modernize how industrial engineering work gets done. The ideal candidate combines rigorous engineering discipline with hands-on adaptability and a passion for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Value Stream Mapping and identification of the forms of waste.
  • General knowledge of Project Management principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness and curiosity toward AI tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills / language: bilingual (French & English).
  • Ability to travel internationally at least 15% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with or coaching manufacturing partners in Canada, USA, Europe and/or Asia is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading PFMEA and/or machine safety risk assessments is preferred.
  • ERP & MES experience preferred.
  • Strong data analysis skills (Business Intelligence tools, Excel, Python or equivalent) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, variability, and opportunities for improvement impacting cost, quality, delivery, and safety.
  • Map value streams and identify waste. Design and implement optimized process flows and layouts
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, line balancing, and productivity assessments to support data-driven decisions.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma and other methodologies.
  • Manage Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for new and existing manufacturing processes to proactively reduce risks in collaboration with the team.
  • Own the full industrialization process: define optimal process, readiness criteria, track open actions for manufacturing readiness prior to mass production launch.
  • Partner with R&D, Design and Quality to ensure manufacturability and operational readiness for new product development.
  • Conduct formal machine and process risk assessments, ensure all risk mitigation actions are implemented, validated, and documented prior to production release.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans.
  • Perform on-site process reviews at manufacturing facilities, identifying risks, capability gaps, and improvement opportunities along with best practices.
  • Build and maintain KPIs and dashboards tracking efficiency, yield, throughput, and process stability to support decisions and communicate continuous improvement results.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks (Information flow, data collection, reporting, SOP creation) using AI and digital tools.
