About The Position

ArcelorMittal Mines et Infrastructure Canada is looking for a Principal Engineer – Civil Works. This individual will act as a technical leader in their discipline within projects, ensuring the design, validation, and integration of civil infrastructure (foundations, structures, works) in large-scale projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Member of the OIQ
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure or industrial projects
  • Experience in the design of structures, foundations, and industrial works
  • Good ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a mining environment

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical reference in civil works and structures
  • Translate needs into technical requirements (civil engineering)
  • Validate deliverables (plans, specifications, structural calculations, foundations)
  • Ensure integration with process, electrical, and environmental disciplines
  • Evaluate technical risks related to soils, structures, and infrastructure
  • Participate in technical reviews and approvals (AFE)
  • Contribute to the optimization and standardization of solutions
