About The Position

TwelveStone Health Partners is hiring an Infusion Center Medical Assistant/Certified Pharmacy Technician to support its infusion center. The position provides clerical and administrative support, assists with clinical duties, and greets incoming patients while supporting TwelveStone’s values and mission. The position is not eligible for telework. Upon accepting the position, the employee must obtain pharmacy technician certification within 120 days of hire.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of medical assistant experience in a medical field.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and medical electronic medical records (EMR).
• Obtain pharmacy technician certification within 120 days of employment.
• Demonstrate compassion, confidentiality, teamwork, collaboration, problem-solving, critical-thinking, verbal and written communication, attention to detail, organization, flexibility, and agility.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification.
• Experience in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean, and disinfect exam rooms and medical equipment; maintain stock of medications and medical supplies.
• Practice safety, environmental, and infection-control methods.
• Schedule patient appointments; receive and sort mail and scan documents.
• Collect patient information, including insurance details, demographics, and home medication lists.
• Verify benefits before infusion center appointments and collect patients’ out-of-pocket or co-insurance payments.
• Greet patients and families, answer phone calls, and direct calls to the appropriate person.
• Check in patients for infusion center appointments.
• Report to work on time, maintain acceptable attendance, and perform other duties as assigned.
