About The Position

TwelveStone Health Partners is hiring an Infusion Center Medical Assistant/Certified Pharmacy Technician to support its infusion center. The role provides clerical and administrative support, assists with clinical duties, and greets incoming patients while supporting the organization’s values and mission. The position is not eligible for telework. After accepting the position, the employee must obtain pharmacy technician certification within 120 days of hire.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1–2 years of medical assistant experience in a medical field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical electronic medical records (EMR).
Obtain pharmacy technician certification within 120 days of employment.
Demonstrate compassion, confidentiality, teamwork, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, verbal and written communication, attention to detail, organization, flexibility, and agility.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification.
Experience in a medical office.

Responsibilities

Set up, clean, and disinfect examination rooms and medical equipment, and maintain stocks of medications and medical supplies.
Practice safety, environmental, and infection-control methods.
Schedule patient appointments.
Receive and sort mail and scan documents.
Collect patient information, including insurance details, demographics, and home medication lists.
Verify patient benefits before infusion center appointments.
Collect out-of-pocket and coinsurance payments from patients.
Greet patients and families, answer phone calls, and direct calls to the appropriate person.
Check patients in for infusion center appointments.
Report to work on time, maintain acceptable attendance, and perform other duties as assigned.
