About The Position

Varen, an SAIC company, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to support infrastructure operations and maintenance for deployed operational solutions. The position is located in Suitland, Maryland, and requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• One of the following experience and education combinations: bachelor’s degree and 14 or more years of experience; master’s degree and 12 or more years of experience; or PhD or JD and 9 or more years of experience. Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee infrastructure team operations and maintenance tasks for deployed solutions, including Citrix, Microsoft, NetApp, and VMware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, including performing root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, systems, subsystems, and components.
• Work with the IT Architecture and Engineering team to research, analyze, and assess technologies for infrastructure modernization.
• Propose new solutions to the government and develop proofs of concept for consideration by the Configuration Control Board.
