About The Position

LATG is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Site Lead to support the day-to-day operation, patching, hardening, monitoring, and restoration of a large VMware-based test infrastructure for a health IT program. The role leads an on-site team of systems, network, storage, VDI, and data center professionals who maintain critical test environments and ensure they are available, secure, and ready for scheduled test events. The position is based on-site in Chantilly, Virginia, with regular travel to the Ashburn, Virginia data center. The Site Lead serves as LATG's on-site lead and primary point of contact for infrastructure operations at both locations. The lead coordinates with the prime contractor's Infrastructure Lead, the Facility and Lab Manager, cybersecurity staff, and Government stakeholders on priorities, schedules, and escalations. The role ensures timely patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIG compliance; reports status and risks to leadership; and plans maintenance around Government test calendars and change freezes. Additional duties include escalating complex infrastructure service desk tickets, maintaining cross-training, coverage plans, and runbooks, and onboarding new staff, including access requests and training compliance. The role requires U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC), meeting DoDM 8140.03 qualifications for the assigned privileged work role, and completion of Cyber Awareness, HIPAA, and CUI training before access and annually.
