About The Position

Canada Rail, a joint venture between Keolis Canada and SNCF Voyageurs, is seeking an Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist to lead the development and execution of maintenance strategies and asset management plans. This role is crucial for ensuring alignment with design and operational requirements while optimizing the lifecycle performance of infrastructure for the Alto high-speed train project connecting Quebec City to Toronto. Requirements

  • Studies in railway engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in railway maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of rail subsystems.
  • Good knowledge of modern maintenance practices and technologies.
  • Knowledge of both relevant Canadian and International rail industry standards and regulations.
  • Commercial and strategic mindset, solid decision-making and collaborative skills.
  • Proven ability to understand and to fit into complex project organizations.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentational) and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership qualities of the highest standards, ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Mobility & Relocation in Montreal, Canada is required as per project delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of maintenance strategies and asset management plans.
  • Ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with design and operational requirements.
  • Optimize infrastructure lifecycle performance.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management Lead to develop infrastructure asset management strategy and plan.
  • Detail the asset management plan into a maintenance strategy.
  • Develop the maintenance approach and organization into Concepts of Operations.
  • Refine the Concepts of Operations to match the design and integrate exported constraints.
  • Contribute to the modeling and estimation of infrastructure maintenance costs.
  • Develop maintenance processes, procedures, and documentation for infrastructure assets.
  • Specify requirements for the Asset Management IT system.
  • Describe the resources and skills required to implement the infrastructure maintenance plan.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all infrastructure maintenance issues within the O&M JV.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance requirements for each infrastructure subsystem (RAM performance).
  • Participate in the review of infrastructure design to ensure compliance with O&M requirements.
  • Report and analyze constraints exported from Design to infrastructure maintenance.
  • Participate in value engineering to optimize infrastructure life cycle costs.
  • Propose innovative initiatives to optimize infrastructure maintenance (Internet of Things, AI, etc.).
  • Work with the Design JV to develop innovative solutions.
