Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor- Hybrid
About The Position
Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks an Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor for the Raleigh, NC location to provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. This role involves serving as the lead technical consultant responsible for the design, engineering, and development of information technology solutions. The Senior Advisor will lead the design, analysis, development, and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions for complex projects and work requests. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex infrastructure compatibility issues, creating design specifications, developing utility programs, and resolving escalated infrastructure compatibility problems. The role may also involve risk assessments, capacity planning, budget forecasting, and diagnosing/correcting application/network problems. Additionally, the Senior Advisor may act as the primary contact for vendors and provide thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines, being recognized as the go-to person for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience. Will accept a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.

- Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working at home occasionally or permanently.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical consultant responsible for design, engineering and development of information technology solutions.
- Lead the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions.
- Troubleshoot and proceed on resolving complex infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.
- May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve escalated infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise.
- Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems.
- May serve as the primary contact for vendors.
- Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving.
- Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
- Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Infrastructure Engineering assignments.
