About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a 6+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution. The role is hybrid and located in Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. The primary focus is to lead an Alteryx Cloud implementation from end-to-end. This position requires deep expertise in the Alteryx platform (Server and Cloud), strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and the ability to drive strategy, architecture, and migration within a regulated financial services environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of managing this complex cloud transformation with minimal oversight.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or enterprise technology implementation experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Alteryx, including Alteryx Server, Alteryx Designer, and/or Alteryx One (Alteryx Cloud)
• Experience with Alteryx Cloud implementations and/or migrations from Alteryx Server to Alteryx Cloud
• Proven experience leading complex technology implementations or cloud migrations with minimal oversight
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud architecture, networking, security, and infrastructure concepts
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) design, implementation, and administration
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, authentication, SSO, SAML, OAuth, and role-based access controls
• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment
• Experience using Jira in Agile and/or Kanban delivery environments
• Strong technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata
• Experience establishing platform governance, onboarding processes, and support models
• Experience delivering training, office hours, and adoption strategies for enterprise platforms
• Experience working directly with software vendors and third-party implementation partners
• Experience supporting enterprise analytics, BI, and data science platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead the Alteryx Cloud implementation end-to-end, driving strategy, architecture, migration, governance, and operational readiness
• Consult on moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Infrastructure Engineering
• Work directly with Alteryx as the vendor and internal infrastructure and risk partners to reconcile requirements and work through implementation challenges
• Develop technical architecture documents, migration plans, governance frameworks, and operational runbooks
• Influence decisions, manage dependencies, remove roadblocks, and drive results across cross-functional teams
• Provide effective knowledge transfer to engineering and support teams
