This is a temporary position expected to last approximately six months, with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance. The pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and a genuine enthusiasm for technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service oriented approach.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong desire for continuous learning and professional development in IT and cybersecurity.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • A foundational awareness of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., phishing, malware, data privacy) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and efficient first-line technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnose problems, and implement solutions for common IT issues like password resets, software installations, and connectivity problems.
  • Assist with the full lifecycle of employee IT needs, including onboarding new hires by setting up accounts and equipment, and offboarding by deactivating accounts and retrieving assets.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all support interactions and resolutions within the ticketing system.
  • Participate in basic cybersecurity tasks, such as monitoring security alerts, assisting with vulnerability scans, and supporting internal security awareness campaigns.
  • Help enforce IT security policies and contribute to maintaining a secure IT environment.
  • Collaborate with senior IT and cybersecurity team members to escalate complex issues and continuously improve support processes.
