About The Position

The Information Technology Specialist provides customer service to Aspen Surgical employees in all locations. The Specialist performs problem and root-cause analysis, and all relative technology processes that impact the organization. In addition, the Specialist participates in IT projects and tasks and ensures the effective utilization of the IT process and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field required.
  • 1-3 years IT experience in a similar role required with experience in Network, Infrastructure or Computer Science strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of computer systems (hardware, software), networks, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with ability to implement solutions effectively
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Able to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively
  • Familiar with current cyber security best practices and tools with an understanding of IT security and network risks.
  • Strong customer service-oriented focus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with team members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with continuous process improvement methodologies and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Ability to be flexible and deal with change both internal and external to the organization.
  • Superb time management and the ability to prioritize assignments
  • Deliver tasks and projects on time and meeting the expected standards of quality.
  • Ability to travel locally to Aspen’s office locations
  • Ability to walk and stand for longer periods of time while supporting customers or implementing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to user report of problems as appropriate. Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for all software, hardware, and communication systems as necessary when not resolved by Tier 1 managed service provider.
  • Work with the IT Operations Manager to ensure all user issues are resolved within Service Level Agreements.
  • Communicate and thought partner with outside vendors to aid in the resolution of user issues.
  • Resolve technical / technology issues or seek assistance.
  • Set up new hardware, including computers and phones. Order placement for new user hardware systems and reconfigure existing systems when appropriate.
  • Ensure new users have passwords and appropriate access for their positions in the following systems: Active Directory – Keystone Domain, Office 365
  • Ensure accounts are disabled, archived & removed when team members change positions or leave the company.
  • Ensure disabled accounts are deleted in a timely manner.
  • Move and/or reassign access to new or existing team members upon departures.
  • Work with the IT team members and Managed Service Provider for software changes and upgrades when necessary.
  • Provide application and user support for hardware and software upgrades and changes.
  • Manage, track and disposition all technology assets at location keeping asset management list current and accurate.
  • Provide guidance to Aspen Surgical team members and help coordinate and apply specific technical expertise towards the resolution of problems and the completion of projects.
  • Work with managed service provider to maintain all hardware compliance.
  • Serve as the in-house liaison for outside hardware consultants and resources when necessary.
  • Assist with all other tasks and projects as directed by management.
