About The Position

The Information Technology Specialist administers and supports StationServ's computer systems, networks, and security controls across multiple office locations, warehouses, and field teams. Working under the Director of Information Technology, this role analyzes user and business technology needs, implements system configurations and solutions, administers the network, Microsoft 365, and endpoint environments, and resolves complex technical issues, exercising independent judgment to keep the company's technology reliable, secure, and scalable as StationServ grows.

Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of IT systems administration, network administration, or IT support experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 administration, Entra ID, and mobile device management.
  • Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical requirements and exercise sound independent judgment in designing and implementing solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+, Microsoft Certified, or vendor networking certifications.
  • Experience supporting multi-location or field-based users and acquisition integrations.
  • Experience with Sage 100 & SageCRM or ADP Workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company's network infrastructure across locations, including firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet circuits; analyze performance and implement configuration changes.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 tenant and Entra ID, including user provisioning, security groups, policies, licensing, and conditional access.
  • Implement and configure security controls, including endpoint protection, patch management, backups, multi-factor authentication, and monitoring; investigate and respond to security alerts.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network, and application issues escalated from users or vendors, determining root cause and corrective action.
  • Provide technical support to employees across offices, warehouses, and field teams, and coordinate with managed service providers.
  • Administer and support business applications, including Sage 100, SageCRM, ADP Workforce, Microsoft 365, and field service applications, coordinating with vendors as needed.
  • Procure IT systems and equipment, including laptops, computers, printers, mobile and desk phones, peripherals, and software licenses, sourcing from approved vendors and within established standards and budget.
  • Manage and distribute IT equipment to employees and locations, including configuring and deploying devices for new hires, tracking assignments, and retrieving, reassigning, or retiring equipment at offboarding and end of life.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and software license records, and evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and vendor solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures, and train employees on systems and security practices.
  • Foster a team-oriented, collaborative work environment.
  • Model and promote StationServ's culture and core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
