About The Position

The IT Specialist at Tucson City Court serves as the primary point of contact for technical support, focusing on endpoint support and delivering high quality service to court staff. This role is responsible for receiving, triaging, and documenting service requests, ensuring accurate information is captured to support timely resolution. The IT Specialist works closely with the Systems Analyst and IT Supervisor to identify recurring issues, document IT processes and procedures, and provide support for Court activities. This position plays an essential role in supporting secure, reliable, and user focused technology services for the Court. Work is performed under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor. This position does not supervise.

Requirements

  • Six months post high school
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • A valid and unrestricted driver’s license with two (2) years of licensed driving is required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation conducted by the Tucson City Court.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, log and triage service requests and incidents using the organization’s ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation and proper categorization.
  • Encourage users to submit requests through the ticketing system to support efficient and consistent service delivery.
  • Provides Tier 1 support by troubleshooting endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access to restore service promptly.
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint devices, including applying updates, security settings, and lifecycle management practices.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately and collaborate with team members, additional agencies, and vendors to identify trends and support process improvements.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and standard procedures.
  • Review and update documentation to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current best practices.
  • Support IT Asset Management processes, including inventory tracking, surplus coordination, and maintaining accurate asset records.
  • Participate in assigned projects, service quality initiatives, and other duties as assigned that contribute to operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
