About The Position

Highly responsible technical and administrative work in support of information systems in an assigned area of responsibility independently performing consulting, designing, programming, installing, maintaining quality assurance, troubleshooting and or technical support for applications, hardware and software products, databases, database management system, support products, network infrastructure equipment or telecommunications infrastructure, software or hardware. Work includes coordinating projects such as conducting technical needs assessments, creating installation plans, analyzing and correcting network malfunctions, serving as system administrator and enhancing operating environments; and related work as required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), engineering, telecommunications or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of progressively responsible experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software.
  • Must provide original documents of qualifying credentials prior to start date.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age for work requiring hard physical labor, operation of or proximity to hazardous machinery, exposure to hazardous chemicals, or participation in any other processes or procedures which are prohibited or limited by the Louisiana State Child Labor Law.
  • Must possess a current driver's license or other form of picture identification.
  • Must have good moral character.
