Information Technology & Operations Systems VISTA

The Sanneh Foundation Inc•Saint Paul, MN
•$24,962 - $44,692

About The Position

The Information Technology & Operations Systems VISTA serves with The Sanneh Foundation (TSF), a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening communities through holistic programming. The role develops systems to improve internal IT processes, data security, and information organization. The intended outcomes include better staff and volunteer access to program files, improved awareness of technology tools, stronger onboarding, more efficient workflows, and improved transfer of institutional knowledge. The VISTA learns TSF’s programs, events, technology systems, workflows, and existing training resources, then assesses technology-related capacity gaps and recommends improvements. The role oversees an audit and restructuring of the organization’s Google Drive, including assessing stakeholder needs, proposing a standardized folder structure and naming conventions, establishing access permissions, migrating and archiving files, documenting processes, and training staff. The VISTA also researches AI tools and their potential applications to TSF’s programming and capacity needs, and proposes an accessible central knowledge base to support institutional memory and onboarding. This includes reviewing existing documentation and systems, researching tools used by similar nonprofits, assembling orientation materials, testing the proposed knowledge base, and helping staff sustain it through audits and training. The position collaborates with staff, department leaders, site supervisors, other VISTAs, and the IT and Operations team, and participates in Technology Committee and Sanneh Safety meetings.
