About The Position

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the tactical and strategic deployment and success of the company’s information systems, applications, networks, hardware, cybersecurity, and data, including a radio infrastructure. This role involves managerial and leadership oversight of IT staff, technology practices, and processes in a critical 24/7 environment. The manager will also be responsible for authoring and administering IT policies, ensuring excellent customer service from the IT team, developing the team through coaching and learning opportunities, and managing performance reviews. Additionally, the role requires ensuring appropriate security measures are in place to protect company information and databases, including patient information that must meet HIPAA standards, and partnering with the management team on process improvement and new IT solutions. The manager will also ensure appropriate hardware and software assets are in place for business continuity and disaster recovery, respond to customer needs through education and technology deployment, stay updated on new technologies relevant to the company's infrastructure, monitor and improve services using data analysis, facilitate IT procurement and asset management, participate in budgeting, and serve as an IT representative to external organizations.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Information Systems or applicable technical field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ performing within an individual contributor role as a member of an information technology department is required.
  • A proficient working knowledge of the latest technology solutions and their integration is required.
  • Must have a high degree of interpersonal skills; required to educate and influence decision makers and end users.
  • Must have mastery of the project management lifecycle and the ability to drive projects from beginning to end, while maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (written, verbal & presentation).
  • Must be proficient within the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years’ experience leading and developing an information technology team preferred.
  • Up-to-date certifications in specific technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains managerial and leadership oversight of REMSA I.T. staff members and all department technology practices and processes in a critical 24/7 environment.
  • Authors, deploys, and administers information technology policy in coordination with executive leadership.
  • Ensures the IT Team practices excellent customer service, solves technology challenges, and communicates information to end users.
  • Leads and oversees the activities of the information technology team in support of REMSA’s current and future technology needs.
  • Sets department goals and ensures alignment with the Company's mission and executive direction.
  • Develops the team through offering direction, coaching, and providing learning opportunities.
  • Ensures the IT Team is appropriately cross-trained, resulting in the elimination of bottlenecks and a balanced workload throughout the Team.
  • Handles performance reviews, constructive feedback, and/or corrective action as needed.
  • Ensures appropriate security is in place for the protection of the company’s information technology and databases, including patient information which must meet HIPAA standards.
  • Partners with the management team on process improvement and new information technology solutions.
  • Ensures the appropriate hardware and software assets are in place for business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Responds to customer needs through education and the successful deployment of upgrades and new technology.
  • Keeps abreast of new technology relevant to the company’s security and information technology infrastructure.
  • Monitors and improves services through data analysis, using help desk tracking and related software.
  • Facilitates the selection and procurement of the company’s IT needs and ensures appropriate asset management including licensing is in place.
  • Participates in budgeting as needed in coordination with the executive staff.
  • Responds to the needs of a critical 24/7 operation as needed.
  • Serves as a REMSA IT representative to all external organizations, involving technology related items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
