About The Position

This position aims to ensure effective planning and resource distribution, optimizing operational performance, and aligning IT functions with the Governor's priorities. It supports the Deputy Director in enhancing service delivery by developing strategies and operational tactics, refining processes to improve service efficiency, and collaborating with leadership to align efforts with agency initiatives. The role also focuses on enhancing the effectiveness and responsiveness of digital services, ensuring seamless IT support for state government functions. Additionally, it involves building collaborative partnerships across departments and agencies by fostering strong working relationships within state government and external partners, facilitating cross-departmental IT initiatives, and aligning strategic planning with department needs and government priorities to promote innovation, streamline service delivery, and optimize IT resources for maximum impact. A fingerprint-supported background check may be required based on the assigned job duties and location. As of July 12, 2026, the step 1 rate for pay grade 28 will be $37.80 per hour and the step 15 rate will be $59.62 per hour.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years or more experience in computer science, business administration, public administration, mathematics, technical operations management or providing support to staff within an Information Technology environment.
  • OR Four (4) years or more in an Information Technology Manager role with a combination of experience in computer operations, information technology management/administration or supervisory responsibilities.
