About The Position

SPIROL is a global manufacturer seeking an experienced IT Service Manager to join their team in Danielson, CT. This role is responsible for the global delivery of IT services, ensuring employees have the necessary tools to perform effectively. The IT Service Manager will oversee daily IT infrastructure operations, manage internal and third-party vendor escalations, and configure/manage server and network infrastructure software. This includes managing operating systems, providing technical support for software development, and enhancing the service desk software platform for efficient request processing. A key responsibility is defining and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the cybersecurity program, updating policies to align with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in an IT function, with 3-5 years in a management role.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as ITSM, ITIL, COBIT 5, CompTIA, CAPM, and/or commensurate work experience working in a controlled IT environment.
  • Demonstrated independence and leadership in building out IT activities and documenting associated procedures supporting IT policy.
  • Experience managing helpdesk functions, network engineering, and/or other IT professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the global delivery of IT services, providing the complete tools for the organization within the infrastructure set for global employees to perform effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, documenting and managing internal and third-party vendor escalations.
  • Configure and manage software related to server and network infrastructures, managing operating systems and providing technical support for software development and utility applications/platform technologies used by the applications team.
  • Manage, maintain and drive improvements in the service desk software platform to ensure highly responsive and efficient IT request capture and processing.
  • Define and implement continuous improvement initiatives within cybersecurity program standards, revising and updating policies in accordance with emerging industry standards.
