About The Position

This internship focuses on providing technical support and managing IT infrastructure within the company. Responsibilities include hardware and software procurement, computer imaging and configuration, installation of hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing user support. The role also involves managing user accounts and network connectivity, along with assisting in the procurement of IT accessories and supplies.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in an IT related field.
3 years of applicable work history or any combination of education, work history or demonstration of capability.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, peripherals and Windows accounts.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) or a Foreign Person for whom a license is obtained due to ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

Identify and procure hardware and software with required approval.
Image and configure computers for deployment to users.
Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, printers & memory upgrades.
Install, configure and update operating systems and software applications, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, AS/400client, Solid works, etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware and network problems as needed.
Provide telephone, in-person and online technical support to users for all IT related issues.
Refers major problems to corporate IT support group for guidance.
Process requests for new user accounts and additional access, ensuring that the necessary approvals have been provided, and that they are completed in a timely manner.
Connects users to the network and provides initial training in use.
Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
