About The Position

The Health and Human Services Information Technology Delivery Center is seeking an Information Technology Generalist 1 to play a key role in maintaining essential technology for agencies serving communities across the Commonwealth. This role ensures staff have the necessary tools for their daily missions, contributing to safer, faster, and more reliable operations.

Requirements

  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
  • One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person technical support for a wide range of devices, systems, and applications used across Health and Human Services offices.
  • Resolve incidents and problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and support computers, mobile devices, printers, and related equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, security settings, and access controls across assigned systems.
  • Support cabling, equipment, and connectivity for local and statewide networks.
  • Create support materials and track incidents using approved reporting tools.
  • Provide instruction to staff on devices, applications, and system functions.
