Information Technology Applications Specialist II

About The Position
This position involves integrating and implementing new and revised custom and advanced applications and web-based programs. It is part of a recruitment effort for Nassau County Departments, School Districts, Board of Cooperative Educational Services, and Nassau Health Care Corporation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a major in a computer field including two (2) courses in programming (6 credits).
- Four years of satisfactory, paid experience performing applications and/or web-based programming for computers; or
- Six years of satisfactory, paid experience performing applications and/or web-based programming for computers and, either A. Associate's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a major in a computer field including two (2) courses in programming (6 credits); or B. Completion of two years (60 credits) of education at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university, including eighteen (18) credits in a computer field including two (2) courses in programming (6 credits)
- Satisfactory, paid experience performing applications and/or web-based programming in excess of the minimum requirement for 1 and 2 can be substituted for college on a year-for-year basis. Each year of experience acts as substitution for thirty (30) college credits, including nine (9) credits in a computer field and three (3) credits in a course in programming.
