About The Position

Progressive and growing master distributor of industrial fasteners seeks an IT Administrator with the ability to maintain the continuous operation of company servers, networks, workstations, and peripherals in support of our internal customers. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of urgency to accomplish company goals and implement new technologies within the organization. The IT Administrator will demonstrate excellent communications skills, expertise in virtual servers, virtual desktop infrastructure, workstation and network management, and excellent results-oriented customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Three-to-five years plus of practical, hands-on experience administering Information Technology assets is highly valued.
  • Degree with computer science or technical-related emphasis desired.
  • Experience managing MS Windows Server® 2012 or later; including backup and disaster recovery, MS Exchange with Outlook® mobile devices, network administration, and switch management desired.
  • Experience with Virtual Server management especially using VMware™ desired.
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop management especially using VMware™ desired.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications (UC) desired.
  • Experience with SAN management desired.

Responsibilities

  • Execute IT Help Desk Requests in a timely, complete, and efficient manner as needed. Requests will be performed in accordance with best practices and company policy in a manner that optimizes ease of use and minimizes total cost of technology ownership.
  • Assist the Information Technology Manager and IT team to select, purchase, and deploy new hardware solutions including servers, storage, network infrastructure, end user devices, etc.
  • Complete focused IT projects including server migrations, platform upgrades, hardware rollouts, etc.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance and documentation of company workstations and peripherals, both on-site and remote including but not limited to, operating systems, application software, and hardware.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and documentation of assigned company networks including, but not limited to, routers, switches, wireless access points, cabling, fiber optics and exterior connections; as well as mobile devices.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and documentation of company communication systems including, but not limited to, phone system, phone service, call center solutions, desk phones, wireless phones, and company smart phones.
  • Support the ongoing operation of company servers, networks, and workstations as needed.
  • Ensure continuous electronic backup of the primary operating systems and all files, as well as offsite hard data storage according to Company specifications as requested.
  • Responsible for executing documentation for servers, workstations, networking, peripherals, and mobile devices, including configuration, security, and disaster recovery as required.
