About The Position

Buchwald is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator, Information Technology to join our Los Angeles team. This full-time role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT systems, configuring Jira/Altassian/Confuence workflows, ensuring reliable performance, security, and support across both Windows and Mac environments. This position is based in our Los Angeles office, Monday through Friday, and provides on-site IT support to employees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration or a similar technical support role, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Strong proficiency in Jira, Altassian and Confluence, including workflow development, administration, automation, and ongoing maintenance
  • Strong understanding of network administration (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and routers)
  • Experience managing Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based systems (e.g., Azure, Google Workspace)
  • Proficiency in system monitoring, data backup solutions, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex technical issues with minimal supervision and provide timely resolutions
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Dependable, proactive, and committed to maintaining reliable IT operations and excellent end-user support

Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and maintain Jira, Altassian and Confluence workflows, automations and integrations
  • Support and maintain all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and user systems
  • Provide hands-on, on-site technical support for staff in the Los Angeles office, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly
  • Set up and configure new workstations, laptops, printers, and peripherals for employees
  • Administer user accounts, access rights, and security groups across company systems
  • Support with system updates, patches, and preventive maintenance for both Windows and Mac environments
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and coordinate with vendors or external support when needed
  • Ensure reliable operation of video conferencing systems, phone lines, and other office technologies
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including antivirus management, firewalls, and access controls
  • Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate records of equipment and software licenses
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring timely setup and removal of system access
  • Collaborate with the IT team on infrastructure improvements, system migrations, and new technology rollouts
  • Provide end-user training and create documentation for common technical procedures and policies
