About The Position

This role exists to build and manage CosmoProf’s creator network, activating a tiered roster of beauty professionals who produce authentic content that positions CosmoProf as the brand that helps pros grow their business. The Influencer Marketing & Events Specialist is responsible for discovering, briefing, and managing creator relationships, supporting vendor brand accounts through the creator-activation model, and bringing CosmoProf’s creator strategy to life at key events, including the Rooted series, Iconic Blonde, World of Texture, and Color the World.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in influencer marketing, creator management, talent relations, or experiential events, preferably within the beauty, wellness, or lifestyle industries.
• Hands-on experience with influencer platforms such as Creator IQ, Traackr, AspireIQ, or comparable tools; Creator IQ proficiency strongly preferred.
• Experience writing creative briefs and managing end-to-end influencer campaigns from brief to publish.
• Familiarity with influencer contract basics, usage rights, FTC disclosure requirements, and creator payment processes.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple creator relationships, vendor accounts, and event timelines simultaneously.
• Understanding of social media performance metrics including CPM, engagement rate, reach, and impressions, and how to apply them to creator vetting and performance evaluation.
• Knowledge of the professional beauty industry, salon culture, or cosmetology community is a significant advantage.
• BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field required.

Responsibilities

• Manage CosmoProf’s tiered creator roster, mid-tier and nano, including creator discovery, vetting, contracting, briefing, content review, and payment processing through Creator IQ.
• Write compelling, brand-aligned creative briefs for each creator and brand activation, ensuring content captures the CosmoProf brand voice while authentically featuring the assigned vendor’s products.
• Own Creator IQ as the system of record for all creator activity, maintaining up-to-date performance data including CPM, engagement rate, content delivery, and contract status.
• Monitor creator content quality and performance, flagging underperforming partnerships to the Senior Manager and proactively recommending roster adjustments at contract renewal.
• Source and vet new creator talent on an ongoing basis, particularly mid-tier beauty professionals in hair, skin, and nail categories with metrics aligned to industry standards.
• Manage product seeding, gifting logistics, and influencer mailers in coordination with the engagement contractors to ensure timely delivery aligned with campaign timelines.
• Support the Senior Manager in vendor conversations about the creator-activation model, preparing performance data, creator profiles, and content previews for vendor review meetings.
• Support 6 assigned integrated marketing vendor accounts as the creator activation lead, developing creator-driven content strategies that fulfill each vendor’s dedicated social commitments within the CosmoProf brand framework.
• Act as the day-to-day liaison between assigned vendor brand contacts and the creator roster, coordinating product delivery, usage approvals, content timelines, and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with vendor stakeholders to understand their seasonal priorities and product focus areas, translating those into creator briefs that feel authentic rather than promotional.
• Track and report monthly on creator content performance per vendor, delivering clear insights on reach, engagement, and content quality against agreed benchmarks.
• Maintain brand safety standards across all creator-vendor activations, ensuring no competitor products appear and that all content meets CosmoProf’s quality and tone requirements before going live.
• Lead the influencer and creator logistics for CosmoProf’s three signature events, Iconic Blonde, World of Texture, and Color the World, including talent booking, scheduling, content capture coordination, and on-site management.
• Develop event-specific creator briefs and content capture plans to ensure each event generates high-quality social assets for use across organic and paid channels.
• Coordinate influencer travel, accommodations, and experience details where applicable, ensuring a seamless and brand-positive experience for all creator talent.
• Capture real-time content opportunities at events and coordinate with the Social Media & Content Manager to integrate event assets into the live content calendar.
• Compile and deliver monthly influencer performance reports covering CPM, engagement rate, content delivery rate, reach, and creator cost efficiency for all active roster members.
• Stay current on influencer marketing trends, platform updates, and creator economy developments — particularly within the professional beauty and wellness space — bringing forward-looking recommendations to the team.
• Assist in developing the annual creator network strategy and budget proposal, providing rate card research and creator landscape analysis to inform planning.
