About The Position

Summit Community Services Society (SCSS) seeks an enthusiastic full-time ECE IT. The Infant-Toddler Educator will practice according to IH childcare licensing regulations, the ECE code of ethics, and the BC Early Learning Framework. The successful candidate will plan, lead, and guide activities throughout the day, such as reading, physical activity, and creative expression through art and song.

Requirements

ECE/IT Certification(Infant/Toddler certificate required)
First Aid Certificate
Safe Food Certificate
Criminal Record Check
Good Organization and time management skills.
Ability to work in partnership with team members.
Sensitive and responsive to cultural differences in the client population.
Positive, caring and compassionate attitude
Safety conscious with keen observational skills
Excellent leadership skills and confidence in giving direction

Responsibilities

Plan, carry out and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children 0-3 yrs: to encourage independence and growth in all areas of the children’s social, emotional and physical development.
Work in collaboration with co-educators.
Maintain open, respectful and positive communication with co-educators, parents and family members.
Follow and uphold all Licensing regulations and confidentiality guidelines.
Maintain an organized and a welcoming environment.
Carry out regular daily cleaning and sanitizing duties.
